Danielle S. Apfelbaum is a full-time, tenured, Scholarly Communications Librarian based out of Long Island, NY. With almost 16 years of experience, Prof. Apfelbaum has worked at both small- and medium-sized private and public institutions of higher education on Long Island throughout her career. She earned a Master’s of Library and Information Sciences at Long Island University’s Palmer School, a Master’s of Instructional Technology at the New York Institute of Technology, and is currently working on completing her dissertation for the EdD program in Teaching and Learning in Social Contexts at the University at Buffalo. In 2016, she received the I Love My Librarian Award from ALA and in 2024, she received the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Academic Librarianship.
